Contest voting explained for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

A single word can mean different things in different contests. Let the organiser's own rule be the starting point, and read every term against it.

Primo Premio is a plain-English reference to contests decided by public vote in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It sets out the terms organisers use, shows how to read an official rule, names the platforms that host the votes and describes how suspicious votes get handled. A comparison with another country appears when it clears something up.

Out of scope

Elections and parties are not covered by this guide, which also does not teach anyone to get around an organiser's checks or rule on a result.

Ask the editors about a rule

Give the details below. Replies draw on the organiser's published rules and say plainly when those rules are silent.

Send your question to redazione@guidaconcorsitaly.com, and add:

  • the contest's name and who runs it
  • the clause you would like explained
  • where it runs: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh or elsewhere
  • the closing date, when you know it
